This is a drawing of a troll skull, it’s actually a redrawing of a hideous 5-6 years old drawing I did when I went to elementary school. This one is a huge improvement and I have to say that studying the human skull alone was very resourceful when it comes to draw things like this. The features are essentially the same except they are extremely twisted and somewhat ape-like.

This is another speedpaint I made today, it’s part of the first episode in my new youtube video series “learning to draw” which is kinda a progressive video series where you can watch me on my journey to become an even better artist. I’ll upload new videos whenever I feel ready for it but as for now the first episode is up, please watch it if you have some time over. Thanks so very much!

This is an Illusionist Monk thing that I initially wanted to use as a part of a work sample for a 3D art school application but I decided that it was too off the required theme (which is illusionist).

A new concept art, this time it’s a jungle warrior. I initially planned on adding a tiger facial tattoo but that ended up looking to busy so I scrapped that idea.

And another one. The character ended up more orange and saturated than I first thought but it made for a pretty interesting facial skin colour so I kept it. And the right-side version is grayscale so that it’s much easier to see the lighting values more clearly. (It’s also a very good way of debugging the lighting and see if something’s off).

And a new one, things are getting a lot better. The features are more intact and the skin colours are starting to balance. Also, drawing the skull before the head is actually much easier than drawing the head from scratch.
